Sigmar Polke. Cultural Template

From drawings to photographic prints, Sigmar Polke’s work is always a teasing attack on the viewing habits of his audience. This is particularly evident in his prints. With the aid of a generous donation from Freunde der Kunsthalle e. V., the Kupferstichkabinett was able to acquire a sizeable proportion of Sigmar Polke’s prints and drawings in the 1990s. This exhibition presents a selection to mark the tenth anniversary of the Galerie der Gegenwart.
