Queer Offers

In art history - and thus also in the collection and exhibitions of the Hamburger Kunsthalle - there are artists who have made an important contribution to the visibility of the LGBTQIA+ community (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersexual, Asexual) with their work. Queer content and stories can also be found in many artworks. Artists and works have initiated discussions, presented new life models and established alternative ideals of beauty and continue to do so today.

The following queer offers are taking place on a regular basis:

The dialogical tour »WE'RE NOT JUST A TREND: ART HAS ALWAYS BEEN QUEER« addresses queer perspectives in art history and encourages discourse. The »DRAG GUIDED TOURS« with changing drag queens and kings offer unique insights into the collection of the Hamburger Kunsthalle and enable both philosophical excursions and participatory moments. The »SALON« highlights current topics of the LGBTQIA+ community in relation to selected exhibitions in a relaxed atmosphere with refreshing drinsk. Whether a reading, lecture, performance, discussion, concert or workshop - each Salon offers a unique experience with changing and exciting guests.

You can find the dates in our calendar.
