Freunde der Kunsthalle e. V.

For the Freunde der Kunsthalle e. V. (Friends of Kunsthalle), the Hamburger Kunsthalle is at the heart of all activities. With more than 18,000 members, it is the biggest »fan club« of a museum in Germany. The Friends of the Kunsthalle provide financial resources for exhibitions, acquisitions and publications. In their museum shop, they sell catalogues and other publications by the Kunsthalle. They finance an academic traineeship named after the founder of this circle of friends, Gustav Pauli. The Young Friends offer younger members a tailored programme with guided tours, workshops and excursions.
