Wir beantworten Ihnen hier alle Fragen rund um das Ticketing zur Ausstellung »Rendezvous der Träume. Surrealismus und deutsche Romantik« .

Ticket purchase at the museum box office: Tickets for our highlight exhibition »Rendezvous of Dreams. Surrealism and German Romanticism« are also available at the museum ticket offices on site, subject to availability. However, we recommend that you buy tickets in advance via our webshop to secure your time slot and avoid waiting times.
Time slot tickets: A visit to the Surrealism exhibition is only possible with a valid time slot ticket. After visiting the Surrealism exhibition, you can of course also visit the collection and other exhibitions in the Hamburger Kunsthalle with your time slot ticket. [In individual cases, admission may also be possible without a time slot ticket - however, this depends on the daily capacity utilisation and does not constitute an entitlement to admission].
Flextickets: Flextickets can be used without booking a time slot for a one-off visit on any date and at any time within our opening hours. You do not need to book an additional time slot and can use your Flexticket even if a time slot is already fully booked. With the Flexticket you also receive a 10% discount on the exhibition catalogue in the museum shop on site.
Group tickets: As a registered group for Surrealism, you are guaranteed admission to our highlight exhibition »Rendezvous of Dreams. Surrealism and German Romanticism«, you can purchase the required group tickets on site on the day of your visit.
Free admission on the 1st Thursday of the month?: Yes, the special exhibition »Rendezvous of Dreams. Surrealism and German Romanticism« will also be accessible as part of free admission from 6 pm on the 1st Thursday of the month. A time slot ticket is not required.
Freunde der Kunsthalle (Members of Hamburger Kunsthalle): As a member of the ‘Friends of the Kunsthalle’, you do not need a time slot ticket for our highlight exhibition. You can visit it as usual with your membership card free of charge and without waiting time and also receive a 30% discount on the exhibition catalogue.
Kunstmeilenpass (Art Mile Pass ): The Art Mile Pass can also be used for the exhibition "Rendezvous of Dreams. Surrealism and German Romanticism". Please come to the museum ticket office with your Art Mile Pass to have it stamped on site. You will receive a free time slot ticket at the museum ticket office, subject to availability.
Children & young people: For children and young people up to and including the age of 18, please purchase a free time slot ticket via our webshop.
Cancellation & rebooking: Unfortunately, we can no longer cancel or rebook exhibition tickets. However, the tickets are not personalised, so you are welcome to give them away or pass them on to someone else if you wish. As an alternative to a time slot ticket, we would like to draw your attention to our Flexticket.

Guided tours of the exhibition and group bookings

Group bookings: If you book for a group without a guided tour, you will not incur any costs other than the admission fee. All groups of 8 people or more must be registered with the Customer Relations department of the Hamburger Kunsthalle and can therefore use the reduced group tickets.
Private guided tours: To request a private guided tour of the exhibition, please contact the Hamburger Kunsthalle at least two weeks before the desired date at: besucherbuero@hamburger-kunsthalle.de. You can find a price overview here. The maximum group size is 20 people. When making your booking enquiry, please indicate several preferred dates and times if possible. For a binding booking, we also need your full billing address, details of the duration of the tour (60 or 90 minutes) and an estimate of the number of participants. Guided tours can be cancelled free of charge up to three weeks before the event, after which we will invoice you for the full amount.
Public guided tours: Please check the availability of tickets for public guided tours in the webshop at: Events - Webshop We do not keep a waiting list for sold-out events. Please understand that we are also unable to offer any exceptions to overbooking for public guided tours. Audioguide: You can purchase our audio tour for a rental fee of 6 euros via the audio devices on site. We cannot reserve the audio devices in advance. Alternatively, you can listen to the guided tour on your mobile phone using the free app of the Hamburger Kunsthalle. You can find audio examples here.
School classes & daycare groups: School classes and daycare groups should contact the Museumsdienst Hamburg to book a guided tour or to register a group for the exhibition at: info@museumsdienst-hamburg.de
